Hey all! So the story for Chapter 2 is finished. It ended up being a bit shorter that I thought, but the story that I had planned finished up there, so it’s time to look forward to the next part. I admit that to this point, I’ve just been playing this all by ear and pretty much just making everything up as I go. I think it’s a good time to sit back and do some plotting (for real this time) for the future parts of the story. I’ve tried to do this in the past and haven’t been too successful, but I’m going to try to be better about doing it this time. If this is going to continue, I know there needs to be a plan for moving forward.
In other news, I have gotten the files for the print edition of Chapter 1 done and I’ve got them over to a printer right now. I’m ordering a very small quantity of them right now cause I want to see how the print quality is first, but if they turn out well, there will be some snazzy high-resolution printed versions of the comic and we’ll be able to start selling them. Current estimate is that this first batch will be done sometime in the first week of April. Can’t wait to see how they look! I’ve got to finish up the files for Chapter 2 and then I’ll probably get that into the print queue in April for a May delivery date. And I’ll have to keep up on doing high resolution versions of the pages in the future so they’re ready for printing.
So, in short, no comic this week. I spent a good chunk of the weekend working on Volume 1 (which included finally coloring page 17 which had been drawn but never got colored when I originally drew it), so there wasn’t much time to do anything new. Hopefully I’ll have the Chapter 3 teaser page done this week and have some time to plot. And, WonderCon is rapidly approaching as well! Looking forward to that too.
