This last week has been really tiring. I spent most of it sitting in front of the computer. It also could have bumped back this week’s comic, but fortunately things turned out better that I had originally anticipated.

One of the many things I do is that I run a web hosting service. The box has been a small money maker, but the cost of things has gotten higher and higher over the years. I’ve been meaning to move the server to a newer, cheaper box for quite a while now. Recently, I’ve been pondering my current financial situation and the current job situation (i.e. I’m currently unemployed), and I figured it was time. This last week, I had the dubious task of migrating my web server from an old box that I’ve been using for the last five years or so to a newer, faster and cheaper box.

I started the move last Monday and worked on getting the new box configured and replicating the user accounts from the old box. Today being the following Monday, I’ve got 99% of the box moved. Most of the client stuff has all been migrated. All I have left are a few email accounts, one or two website and the move will be done.

I hope that I won’t have to do this for a while. Moving things like SQL databases can be a pain. :)
